Holbrook PK-12 School Wins North American Copper in Architecture Award

Flansburgh-designed Holbrook Pre-K-12 School is one of eight outstanding building projects receiving the 2018 North American Copper in Architecture (NACIA) Award in the category of new construction for its outstanding use of architectural copper and copper alloys.

A panel of copper industry and architecture experts judged and evaluated all the submissions based on overall building design, integration of copper, craft of copper installation and excellence in innovation or historic renovation. The jury selected Flansburgh's design for Holbrook Pre-K-12 School, which employs pre-patinaed copper panels for wall cladding.

Flansburgh Vice-President Kent Kovacs, AIA, Principal-in-charge for the Holbrook project, travelled to New York City on behalf of the entire design team to officially accept the Award at the annual NACIA Awards Ceremony on June 21.
