Lawrence High School | Lawrence, MA

New High School

This award-winning 565,000 square foot high school for 3,000 students offers college-level facilities including a 35,000 square foot field house, 20,000 square foot library, 1,200-seat performing arts center, and 10,000 square foot dining commons in a comprehensive facility. A second-level promenade connects six academies that encircle these common spaces, fostering a sense of campus. Inspired by the traditions of mill buildings in Lawrence, the narrow academies are constructed of bearing walls and concrete plank. They have proved cost effective and quick to build.
