The American School Foundation of Guadalajara is now under construction. The school was officially formed in 1956, with a philosophy of educating students to be bilingual and bicultural. The High School is a duel immersion program, teaching in English and Spanish. ASFG is the only accredited school in Guadalajara, granting the graduates both a Mexican and U.S. diploma. The campus sits on 6.5 acres in an urban setting. Along with the local architect, GVA, Flansburgh is designing a new 6 story High School building. Construction is underway and will include a library for middle and high school students, common spaces on every floor for small group gathering, a kitchen and cafeteria, and administration offices. The building is seeking LEED Gold certification.
