Flansburgh's Project Architect, Madeleine Le, recently visited the new construction at Saigon South International School and attended a three-day workshop to finalize interior details, landscape design and traffic flow. In order to better meet its educational mission, SSIS selected Flansburgh to conduct a review of its facilities and propose a long-term master plan resulting in the design of a new Middle School and STEAM Facility. Construction of the new buildings is underway and estimated to be complete by April 2024.
Saigon South International School was established as part of the vibrant Phu My Hung urban development of Ho Chi Minh City District 7 in 1997. SSIS is an independent college preparatory school, enrolling students in kindergarten through grade 12. With students from more than 40 countries, the school offers an American-style education grounded in the spirit of inquiry, a campus and culture robust in academics, athletics, and the visual and performing arts. The campus is a green sanctuary, located south of Ho Chi Minh City on the waterfront of the Rach Doi River.
