EASTHAM, MA – On December 19, 2024, Nauset Regional High School (NRHS) celebrated the grand opening of its new Performing Arts Center with a festive, holiday-themed Student and Alumni Concert. This inaugural performance marked the first use of the state-of-the-art theater and highlighted the completion of the first phase of the school's ongoing addition and renovation project.
The concert, which brought together the four towns of the Nauset District—Eastham, Orleans, Brewster, and Wellfleet—was an occasion to celebrate community, tradition, and the bright future of NRHS. Alumni spanning multiple generations, along with students, families, faculty, and local dignitaries, filled the new theater for an evening of music and cheer.
The Performing Arts Center was designed as a modern, versatile venue to serve as a cultural hub. During the event, speeches expressed gratitude to the many individuals and organizations whose contributions made the facility a reality. In attendance were members of the Nauset School District, the Nauset Building Committee, school project superintendents, and principals from both past and present, along with key members of the project team. Representatives from the architectural firm Flansburgh Architects, owner’s project management company Daedalus/CHA Consulting, and construction manager Brait Builders were also present to celebrate the successful completion of the space. Special recognition was given to the Community and the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) for their crucial investment, which helped bring this project to life.
The crowd was also joined by Senator Julian Cyr, who commended the school district and the community for their dedication to enhancing educational opportunities for students.
As the evening came to a close, the message was clear: the Performing Arts Center is not only a physical space, but a symbol of Nauset’s commitment to fostering creativity, community, and excellence in education for years to come.
