UPenn Students Explore Theater Design at Flansburgh Studio

On February 19th, a group of students and professor from the Stuart Weitzman School of Design - University of Pennsylvania, visited the Flansburgh studio. The group, currently engaged in a project to design a theater, was spending the week in the region to seek inspiration for their work.
David Croteau, the President of Flansburgh Architects, guided the group on a tour of the Boston office and led an interactive discussion on theater design. The conversation covered the user experience, client-architect relationships, and a diverse range of theaters designed by Flansburgh. These projects included the Perles Family Studio at Jacob’s Pillow, the ‘A’ali’ikuhonua Creative Arts Center at Seabury Hall, the American School Foundation of Guadalajara Theater, the American International School of Johannesburg Theater, and the Trinity Repertory Theater in Providence, Rhode Island, which the group visited the day before.
