Hawai'i Preparatory Academy is a college preparatory boarding school for 638 students in grades K-12. It is seeking to become the “greenest school in the nation”. We developed a sustainable master plan for the 220-acre Upper School campus, studied its campus housing, and selected a site and designed a new 107,000-sf K-8 school campus. The new K-8 campus was strategically located to create a shared core. Its sustainable design recalls original campus buildings by renowned Pacific modernist Vladamir Ossipoff.
